today (a sonnet)

i wrote this for a friend. but i'm gonna post it here too with some updated stanzas because ?????? it's not monday today. my poetry is cringe


today was friday. it started to snow
and there was lots of rain too
but today there were people who said hello
and if you see it right, you'll change your world-view :P

today was a day for a deep breath
and i thought about another day
even if tomorrow spells my death
there are some things i gotta say:

today i met people
today i waved at others
today i noticed a beetle
today i saw lots of colors

but the best part of today
was seeing you along the way
